Freelance Editorial Designer & WordPress Assistant for Travel Publication

We are an independent publication focused on candid, high-end hotel reviews. Based in Lisbon, we’re a small operation—but our monthly issues are read by a highly engaged, global audience, both in print and online.

Our website runs on WordPress and we already have an established publishing workflow in place.

I’m now looking for someone to assist on a regular basis with:

Designing a clean, professionally formatted PDF version of each monthly issue (for both print and digital distribution)

- Uploading the final digital edition to our WordPress-based website

- Providing light, ongoing website maintenance to ensure smooth performance

- Improving the site's SEO and helping optimise our content for better search visibility

What I’m really after is someone who:

- Responds quickly and can work to tight editorial timelines

- Has a strong design sensibility and a good eye for detail

- Can assist with image selection and overall visual storytelling

- Brings solid experience in editorial layout and WordPress content management

- Understands the basics of SEO and how to apply them effectively to a content-driven site

- Takes a collaborative, creative approach to problem-solving
