Porto arquitectónico: um mapeamento fotográfico
Architectural Porto: a photographic mapping
Este projecto regista o território da cidade do Porto, por meio de um discurso relacional de imagens e da construção de uma narrativa fotográfica. Esta leitura apoiou-se num discurso não turístico: delimitando-se a área central da cidade, fez-se um levantamento da paisagem observando as suas ruas e como estas se organizam. Constata-se que, devido à irregularidade do território e às suas inclinações e declives, as mesmas se intersectam entre si. Obteve-se uma paisagem exclusivamente arquitectónica que se caracteriza pela sua densidade, pelo balanço entre o material e a natureza.
This project registers the territory of the city of Porto, through a relational discourse of images and the construction of a photographic narrative. This reading was based on a non-tourist discourse: delimiting the central area of the city, a survey of the landscape was made, observing its streets and how they organize themselves. It is noted that, due to the irregularity of the territory and its inclinations and slopes, they intersect each other. It was obtained an exclusively architectural landscape that is characterized by its density, the balance between the material and the nature.
Pode-se salientar as características da arquitectura que contribuem para o plano fotográfico: o contraste das cores - tons mais garridos ou mais suaves -, a forma das janelas e varandas, os materiais de construção, os estilos arquitectónicos e as sombras provocadas pela luz que incide nos edifícios da cidade, que resultam numa maior ou menor densidade na imagem.
The architectural features that contribute to the photographic plane can be emphasized: the contrast of colors - more gaudy or softer tones - the shape of windows and balconies, building materials, architectural styles and shadows caused by light affects the buildings of the city, which result in a higher or lower density in the image.
