Buondi is a Portuguese coffee brand very predominant in Portugal. It's a brand that is very connected to the beach, music and summer and that wants to transmit the idea that we should live with high intensity every moment of our lives, even having as a slogan the word "Intesamente" meaning Intensity.


In this project I decided to make a hypothetical sub-product for the coffee brand Buondi called Ghiaccio, a 33 cl tin can of ice coffee. I got inspired by many brands that also decided to release sub-products with the intent to be disruptive and to leave the norm of what the brand usually does with its own brand identity. Brands like HP with the Omen computers, or the Coruja from Super Bock, are some of examples that I got inspired from.


I called this product Ghiaccio, which means ice in Italian, to keep a coherence with the word Buondi, which means good morning in Italian. In terms of graphic reference I took inspiration on the colors of the deep sea, with the use of a deep ocean gradient. In terms of typography I took inspiration on the lettering typography style that are very predominant to a lot of brand identities in surf. Plus, to reinforce the idea of a fresh drink for a hot summer day I made use of ice textures.
