Papercut Light Box: Seascape
This papercut light box contains a layered illustration of a fantastical underwater landscape which can be backlit. The illustration is made of seven layers, the first three having the function of creating depth, as they represent a rocky structure where the action takes place. The remaining layers contains the sealife (algae, fish and a Kraken) and a shipwrecked. All these parts of the illustration were later inserted into a “box” based on the idea of a light theater. This layered illustration was designed to be read in two ways, creating two diferrent experiences focusing on different aspects (color and light, respectively).
