Salt & Knot Pretzel Bakery had the goal of having a brand identity that reflects their artisanal pretzel-making process while maintaining a modern, approachable aesthetic. Their vision was to highlight the handmade craftsmanship behind their product, emphasising quality, tradition, and a welcoming atmosphere for their customers. Our objective was to develop a branding solution that encapsulates these values, ensuring Salt & Knot stands out in the competitive bakery market.
A Salt & Knot Pretzel Bakery tinha objectivo de ter uma identidade visual que reflectisse o processo artesanal de fabrico dos pretzels, mantendo uma estética moderna e acessível. A sua visão era destacar o trabalho artesanal por detrás do produto, enfatizando a qualidade, a tradição e uma atmosfera acolhedora para os clientes. O nosso objectivo foi desenvolver uma solução de branding que encapsulasse esses valores, garantindo que a Salt & Knot se destacasse no mercado competitivo das padarias.
For Salt & Knot, we developed three key logo variations to ensure flexibility and consistency across different brand touchpoints. The primary logo is a clean, bold representation of the brand name, incorporating a knot motif that symbolises both the pretzel shape and the bond between tradition and innovation. The secondary logo is a simplified version, designed for smaller formats, where clarity and readability are key. Finally, the logo mark distils the essence of the brand into a minimalistic knot icon, ideal for social media, packaging, and merchandise.
Para a Salt & Knot, desenvolvemos três variações principais de logotipo para garantir flexibilidade e consistência em diferentes pontos de contacto da marca. O logotipo principal é uma representação limpa e audaz do nome da marca, incorporando um motivo de nó que simboliza tanto a forma do pretzel como a ligação entre tradição e inovação. O logotipo secundário é uma versão simplificada, concebida para formatos menores, onde a clareza e legibilidade são essenciais. Por fim, a marca gráfica (logo mark) destila a essência da marca num ícone minimalista de nó, ideal para redes sociais, embalagens e merchandising.
Once upon a time, in a cosy little bakery nestled in a bustling town, there lived two cats, Salt and Knot. Salt, with his snowy white fur and love for savoury treats, always sought out the perfect sprinkle of seasoning. Knot, his adventurous sister with fur as twisted and swirled as a pretzel, had a talent for weaving intricate knots, symbolic of the artisanal pretzels made by the bakery’s skilled hands.
Together, Salt and Knot spent their days exploring the bakery, watching as their owners crafted pretzels from scratch, tying each dough piece into perfect knots and seasoning them with just the right amount of salt. It was their playful spirit and the magical process of creating these delicious treats that inspired the bakery’s name: Salt & Knot.

Era uma vez, numa pequena e acolhedora padaria situada numa cidade movimentada, viviam dois gatos, Sal e Nó. Sal, com o seu pêlo branco como neve e amor por petiscos salgados, procurava sempre o tempero perfeito. Nó, a sua irmã aventureira, com o pêlo entrelaçado como um pretzel, tinha um talento especial para tecer nós intricados, simbolizando os pretzels artesanais feitos à mão pelos padeiros habilidosos.
Juntos, Sal e Nó passavam os dias a explorar a padaria, observando como os donos faziam os pretzels do zero, atando cada pedaço de massa em nós perfeitos e temperando-os com a quantidade certa de sal.
