Many years ago, I graduated in game development, and I always focused my studies on 3D at that time. After graduating, I worked for a few years teaching in this area, but life went on and changes happened, and since leaving my home country ten years ago, I ended up moving away from the field. Time passed,

and with each passing year, my resume had a bigger and bigger hole in it, not to mention my portfolio, which was stagnant and completely outdated.

I sometimes thought about giving up altogether. After all, I was getting old, and I would have to restart my studies, because everything I learned in the past is now history.

But recently I had a crisis of hope, and since many things in my life are more stable, I think I can afford to go back to school, even if I have to start from scratch. I may be older, but I still have a long life ahead of me, and I think giving up will only increase my frustrations when I really get old.

After this lapse in self-confidence and determination, I turned on my PC, looked for some video lessons, some tutorials, and some ebooks, and since I'll have to start my studies over, I'll start with software I've never worked with before, and I have to say that Blender has really surprised me. I am very satisfied and, after a few weeks, I already feel confident producing small projects, and I intend to show you how my studies are progressing.

As my first project, I made a small low poly scene. A building where I could explore some modeling techniques, texturing with nodes, and especially lighting techniques, which was the part I liked working on the most when I was in college.

I will continue practicing this type of modeling for a few weeks to practice some new tools and master the software more effectively.
