This project consists of creating a traditional Asian-style architectural structure, developed entirely in Blender. The goal was to produce a detailed and visually coherent scene, exploring modeling, materials, lighting, and realistic rendering.

The building was modeled from basic shapes, using hard surface modeling techniques to define the main structure, the curved roof, the wooden details, and the windows with geometric patterns. Complementary elements such as lanterns, fences, and vegetation were also added, contributing to the scene's ambiance.

Custom PBR materials were applied, creating surfaces that reproduce aged wood, ceramic tiles, and textured walls. Lighting played an essential role in the project: nighttime renders utilize emissive interior lights to highlight the welcoming environment, while the daytime scene was configured with soft HDRI, ensuring natural shadows and tonal balance.

The final composition includes a small plot of land with realistic grass and a water surface, reinforcing the contemplative atmosphere of the building. The whole thing was finalized with post-production adjustments in Blender, enhancing contrast, depth, and colors. This project demonstrates mastery in 3D modeling, material creation, advanced lighting, and rendering, delivering a consistent and expressive visual result suitable for use in a professional portfolio.

To compose the scene and enhance the visual richness of the environment, a combination of manually created assets and additional elements optimized to complement the composition was used.

Most of the architectural assets—such as the main structure of the building, roof, columns, windows, and ornaments—were modeled directly in Blender, ensuring stylistic consistency and complete control over proportions and details. The roof tiles, for example, were arranged using modular modeling techniques, allowing for efficient repetition without loss of quality.

In addition to the main structure, specific assets were incorporated to enrich the scene, including decorative lanterns, wooden fences, vegetation, and environmental elements. The grass and plant assets were generated with particle systems or adapted from external libraries, offering a natural and well-distributed look around the building. Small stone light fixtures were also added to reinforce the traditional aesthetic and introduce secondary light sources in the night scene.

PBR textures and materials were used to give realism to the surfaces. Specifically, wood, ceramics, and walls received roughness, normality, and color maps, which provide depth and natural variation under different lighting conditions.

All assets were carefully integrated, adjusting scale, proportion, and style to maintain a cohesive and harmonious visual language. The result is a detailed and balanced scene, demonstrating attention to both the architecture and the elements that make the environment more vibrant and compelling.
