I think that is beautiful just to take a few time, of every single day, to just understand what we are made of. I think when someone asks me why I choose to be a photographer… that’s just the most difficult question to answer, and as the seconds pass, it is even more difficult.

Something that started with such simplicity and so personal for me… Now it’s not only personal, but a share I have the power to make. I think that’s what every artist is… some kind of super hero for themselves and other humans out there. Even if it’s just one person in this planet.

And, as seconds pass, I realize that, we all feel the same things. And at some point you were a sensitive, emotional human, but as you grow, you feel more awake and rational of the things that surround you. Which is totally not bad. But it’s a bigger responsibility.

You’re not alone anymore in your whole living soul. Something personal just became the air other people breathe. Besides all my personal work I do to survive on this crazy world, and besides all the work that I don’t even share all the time but it’s great to pay my bills… When someone reach out to me and ask me to portrait them, it’s just a big responsibility and I love to do that. Even though I feel more and more cold outside my skin, my heart remembers me to stay warm every time I capture a human for their essence.

And to portrait Bárbara this past tuesday was amazing. We had a great time together. It was rainy almost all day, but we went on our adventure together. Sintra is one of my all time favorite places to explore, shoot and even just to be alone or with someone special. Me and Bárbara know each other for other shoots we had together, especially for TEMA. Not only capture her this time as what she is was amazing, but also, know more about her, as a human.

Something that I actually can answer about the question I’ve talked in the beginning of these words, is that, one thing that I love about what I do, is that I’m able to meet other humans, learn with them, feel what they’re feeling that day or time of their lives. Isn’t it beautiful, just the word “Human”?

And which day, which second, I’m in love with reality. And every single day, I learn more about this power.
