After an analysis made to the 146 female toponyms presented in the book "Toponímia Feminina Portuense" (Porto female toponomy) a certain discrepancy between the number of streets and the number of female toponyms in the city of Porto was revealed.
There are 2,086 streets in Porto, yet only 146 of these were named after females.
Within the academic context, these posters were created with the aim of celebrating the female figures represented in the streets of Porto, four routes were created from 23 female personalities, who stood out in the field of arts, letters, music and education.
