TALK LESS, DO MORE
Recently, I had the opportunity to work on a deeply meaningful video project centered on Women's Sports — a topic that highlights the persistent inequalities and challenges female athletes continue to face compared to their male counterparts. This was not just a technical exercise, but an emotional journey that pushed me to translate resilience, struggle, and empowerment into visual language.
One of the most symbolic decisions in this project was the color grading. This helped create a stronger connection between words and imagery. Cooler colors in the gym, behind the scenes. Warmer colors when she steps outside — in front of people.
Using AI tools in the editing process also presented its own challenges, requiring careful adjustments to the voice maintaining the authenticity and emotional impact of the story. Additionally, creating accurate and engaging subtitles was another important and demanding aspect, ensuring accessibility and clear communication for all viewers.
Finally, music editing and synchronization played a major role in shaping the film’s emotional depth. Every beat and transition in the soundtrack was precisely timed to match the visuals, creating a dynamic flow that guided the viewer through the story.
This project was more than an edit — it was a statement. A tribute to the women who keep pushing forward, despite the barriers. I’m proud to have contributed my skills in video editing, and storytelling to give their voices more reach and power.
