This poster was programmed with processing,
it contains visual representations of
the works of Chilean poets.
It's based on the transcoding principle
proposed by Lev Manovich.
To generate it, each text is 'translated' into an image.
The resulting image is not produced randomly,
but the internal configuration of the text,
the characters, the order, and format dictate the result.
This is why the program is more like a 'translation'
than a 'generation' of images.
Each character of the text produces a point.
The size of the point is related to the frequency of
each letter in the spanish language;
the less frequent its use, the larger the point.
On the other hand, the separation between words and line breaks
are represented by points with background color.
The size of the final circle represents the length of the poem,
the larger the radius of the circle, the larger the poem.
