RESEARCH / MATERIAL /COLOR 

I carried on experiments based on coloured and beautifully textured material effects. The properties of the salt become an infinite natural way to dye the surfaces to create surprising objects. 

We transferred the effects of osmosis caused by salt on wood. The surface is first glazed in monochrome or different colours, before being sprinkled with salt. The results are affected by the kind of salt used, humidity and the length of reaction time.

PRODUCT

It is obvious that this gang of three belong together, but at the same time each of them is pretty confident standing on their own one foot. Osis tabletops are made of salt-treated spruce and come into the third dimension as a cube with one side open. 
The base is made of powder-coated steel and available in three versions. Squared and Bold offer an additional surface in two different heights that can be used for storage, as the small cube is fully closed. 

The tabletop varies in its height but follows a simple rule: 
The smaller the table, the higher the mounted cube.The Trio is made to fit into each other. Arranged as a group, it creates a landscape that offers different levels. When left separated, they operate in spectrum between coffee table, sideboard or occasional workplace.Thanks to their spotted pattern, they are an eye-catching centrepiece in the living environment.
