I have a friend who, amongst other things like being a serial eater, is a very talented rapper. His name is J-K and he just released his latest album called “Contos de Espadas”. I was invited to create an illustration that was going to be in a booklet alongside a group of 9 amazing artists who also contributed to the artwork. The request for each artist was simple — draw a sword. “Espadas” means swords in Portuguese, so this pretty much set the key visuals for what J-K had envisioned. Each artist drew their version of a sword which was then paired with a song. Turns out mine was chosen to be the cover art! You can see all of them in a book that was released with the digital version of the album.
