Nomadic Product Design

Most trailers on the market are intended for just one type of mobile business or service, which makes their functionality rather limited.

The product designed for this dissertation (YURTRAIL) is aimed to small and medium enterprises which want to expand their business in a more direct way to the consumer.

I also proposed an online rental service, which allows the companies to customize the trailer according to their needs.

The name YURTRAIL is inspired by the yurt tent – a reference to Mongolian pastoral nomadism and a play-on-words as well, i.e. your trailer, your Trail (your way) or yurt trailer.

Trailer Model: 3D printing on ABS plastic, model radio wheels. Exterior painting: silver spray paint. Coating: balsa wood. Tent: wooden board, fabric and structure in aluminium tubes.
