Inspired by Portuguese history, this illustration about freedom, reflects the figure of women as warriors, and as a symbol of strength and determination.

The woman wears a dove-like helmet, the symbol of peace, to reflect her freedom-fighting stance. The dove-like elements are emerging in this illustration, to reinforce this last idea.

The carnations present in the image revisit the Portuguese history. Symbols of freedom and the end of the oppressive regime lived in the country until 1974.
