DCEX '16
DCEX 2016, a one-of-a-kind Portuguese UX design and marketing event, brought together experts in the fields for a single, unforgettable gathering. With its minimalist branding and an underground vibe, the event demanded an opening sequence and trailer that set the mood.
The ephemeral nature of DCEX, fueled by the goodwill of its participants, made it a unique experience for the world of portuguese marketing and design.
The Opening Sequence
The resulting motion graphics video, tailored for a large screen projector, combined experimental glitch visuals, striking typography, and technological sounds. This fusion of the underground atmosphere with cutting-edge design elements created a captivating prologue to the event's insightful discussions.
The Trailer
Unliked the opening sequence that used simple edit cuts for the different scenes, this teaser/trailer features a continuos POV journey, using the typography of the logotype and the wavy graphic elements as its base design, featuring the date, location, the event's content and dynamic, and website for more information.
